…today’s secret…Your time, seedtime and harvest.
Two perceptions hinder your helping marginalized people become unmarginalized.
(1) Time.
Never in our history have we had so many things to help us save time, and yet we have never had so little free time.
We are over-busy. Probably you’re feeling a bit behind reading this.
A prevailing perception is that time is today’s currency and we are time poor.
(2) Seedtime and harvest.
Farmers are smarter than we who work with marginalized populations.
Farmers know that they must wait until the seed matures before harvesting.
We’re not so sure.
Seedtime and harvest is not really a perception. It’s how the universe works because God promised it forever to Noah in Genesis 8:22.
So, why do we expect instant gratifaction from our marginalized participants? Why do we plant thoughts in their heads and ask them to do things that develop most quickly?
You guessed it. We have no time. Society has no time.
Sorry about our luck these days.
How are you saving time in working with your participants? How are you
avoiding the trap of artificial urgency?
There’s no silver bullet here. But, hopefully, your answers include some faith and patience.
Right Time’s PAS® adds the voice of your marginalized participant to your
intervention which means you can improve your decision making, achieve quicker rapport, gain marketplace advantage, and, maybe, increase your funding.
And yup, it can save you time! How about it? Their voice for $4? $8? $14?
