…today’s secret…Goals suck.

Conventional wisdom is that we must set goals in life before we can achieve success.

For a long time I set goals. Then I didn’t. It seemed that I was always chasing my shadow with the sun to my back.

I no longer utter the words, “My goal is…”

I then liked plans for a long time. “Plan you work and work your plan Willie.”

Plans are actions embedded in goals that can be measured. But then again, things never turn out as planned.

So, I don’t like plans anymore. They bring too much pressure and bondage. Same with objectives… Ugh!

I like vision these days.

A fulfilling vision starts with the words… “I will serve people by…”

“I will serve people by…

…having in stock what people want.” – Sam Walton
…designing an automobile people can afford.” – Henry Ford
…creating fantasy movie escapes.” – Stephen Spielberg
…having hot food available for them now.” – Ray Kroc

There’s no timetable for a vision. It takes a long as it takes and costs
as much as it costs.

However, visions require a little bit of work every day. The verb “plod” is a good verb to associate with vision.

My vision is to serve people by helping organizations help marginalized populations work and play well with others.

How are you serving people?

Right Time’s PAS® adds the voice of your marginalized participant to your
intervention which means you can improve your decision making, achieve quicker rapport, gain marketplace advantage, and, maybe, increase your funding.

How much of their voice do you need? $4. $8. $14.
